Nickel Based Alloys

Nickel Based Alloys

A BASIC FLUX COATED ELECTRODE THAT DEPOSITS A NICKEL BASED WELD METAL WITH A HIGH MOLYBDENUM CONTENT

NM-1

CLASSIFICATION

AWS A5.11 ENiMo-1 | BS EN ISO 14172 E Ni 1001 | JIS Z 3224 DNiMo-1

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Manufactured on a high purity nickel core wire with a metallurgically basic flux coating that also contains pure molybdenum for alloying purposes plus alloys for grain refinement. The silicate binders used for extrusion ensure both coating strength and resistance to moisture absorption

WELDING FEATURES OF THE ELECTRODE

Designed for use on DC+ only. The stable arc is readily controllable and the slag viscosity allows the great control of run-out length and slag detachability is excellent. The weld beads are bright and evenly rippled with fillet welds having a mitered profile. Metal recovery is some 130% with respect to core wire weight.

APPLICATIONS AND MATERIALS TO BE WELDED

The electrodes are designed to weld the following materials : ASTM B333, B335, B619, B622 and B626, all of which are covered by UNS Number N1001 and similarly alloyed proprietary brands. Also extensively used for welding the clad side of steel clad with Ni-Mo alloys and dissimilar welds between Ni-Mo alloys and steel.

WELDING AMPERAGE AC and DC

OTHER DATA

Electrodes that have become damp should be re-dried at 180oC for 1 hour.
